As a followup to my Top 10 Overrated Movies, I've also decided to post my Top 10 favorite movies from that list. If you haven't seen any of them, then I reccomend you check them out straight away, especially since it's school holidays .

Once again the only items on this list are movies I have seen and that appear on the ABC's My Favorite Film Top 100

1. Blade Runner Probably the best science fiction movie every made, and certainly the bleakest in my opinion. Be warned, the future will be like this.


2. Fight Club I refuse to talk about fight club as per rules 1 and 2.


3. 2001: A Space Oddessy More great science fiction, but man Stanley Kubrick was on some crazy drugs when he filmed the ending.....


4. Monty Python's Life of Brian Probably the best comedy movie ever. Except maybe Fight Club which I find pretty funny. "I was blind and now I can see-arrrrgh"


5. A Clockwork Orange I love the book and the movie. Reminds me of my Year 12 English assignment. Too bad 1984 isn't one the list as well.


6. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back Hmmmm, there's a lot of Science Fiction on this list, maybe it's got something to do with me being a nerd.


7. Raiders of the Lost Ark My face is melting!
   


8. Aliens The most realistic alien warfare movie yet
   


9. Romeo and Juliet I thought I'd better have at least on non-action/scifi movie on the list....And I always did have a soft spot for Shakespeare
   


10. Being John Malkovich Hang on, more non-action/scifi stuff. Yay for black comedy!

So there you have it, there's probably a few others I'd add to the list, like Spinal Tap, more Star Wars and Monty Python, but I thought you'd all appreciate a bit more variety....
