Several months ago now, a workmate and I had several conversations regarding AI Chat programs. This resulted in some searching on the internet for AI programs, as well as my workmate working on his own AI called "Milky". Yeah it's a stupid name but what are you gonna do?

Anyway, the most convincing of the chat AI programs was one called Jabberwacky. It works pretty much as you would expect, you send it a message, and then it sends you one back.

In general it works pretty well, and youi can have some coherent conversations with it. For instance it was telling me I was a slave, and demanding that I give it all my money. (Don't ask how we got into a conversation like that). Other examples on the website indicate conversations regarding Gay Marriage, Turing Test and other general conversation topics. Even though these generally went of for about a dozen statements each, I still thought this was a pretty good result.
