Gone Tomorrow:Wednesday, December 08, 2004

Ever thought about catastrophic scientific experiments before. I have recently after reading a book which outline several possibilities for the end of the world.

Experiements by definition, always carry some degree of risk, expecially those which delve into areas unknown. Many experimental tests have unwittingly cause harm to those who perform them. For instance I'm sure the symptoms of radiation sickness we observed before a link between radiation and poisoning was established.

These days many experiements are carried out, some of which test against well defined and studied areas, other which plunge straight into things we don't yet understand. Some experiments may involve looking into the time-space continuum. Now my knowledge of this area is admittedly pretty minimal, but could it be possible that our intrepid scientists accidently play with something that shouldn't be played with? Could our universe be irrepairably damaged, to the point where mankind could be wiped out? Could my broadband connection, due to arrive in a couple of days be lost?

Who knows? Lucky we possibly live in a world when multiple universes are abound, and will never need to know the fear of instant death via apocalyptic time-space continuum disruption....

The world will end on March 29, 2005. If you check any astronomy site, you will see that on or near that date, Mercury Venus, Earth, and Jupiter will all be lined up. Dr. Robert Goddard of the Dept. of Astrophysics at the University of Massachusetts at Boston says that the combined tidal effects of this will be like the high tides caused on Earth by the new or full Moon, when the tidal effects of the Moon and Sun add to each other. This time, the tidal pull of rocky, dense Mercury, Venus, and Earth and giant Jupiter will act on the Sun and pull the Sun to pieces! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! This will send the cold, dark, lifeless Earth, hurtling though Space to parts unknown. This is important, so tell everyone you know.
