Been a long and busy day today. Most of the staff here at PC School are either out of the office or on holidays, which means I get to answer the phones. It's not that I mind answering the phones, it's just that when the calls come in, for 90% I can't help them and just end up passing on a message. Again, I don't really mind passing along messages, even though it does make me feel like and overpaid secretary, it's that I actually find it quite demoralising not knowing the answers.

Now this is not through any fault of my own, I simply haven't been given the training required to support the product. But part of me feels the need to help, and to some degree feels like a failure when I fail to assist. It's really hard sometimes to suppress this feeling even though I know it's outside of my control.

Anyway, I'm sure the day will get better, at least I'm making good progress on the software.
