I'm a pretty outdoorsy kinda guy. I like nothing better than getting out into the bush, going for a walk away from the concrete jungle, and even the odd escape in the confines of a cave.

One thing I've sacrificed due to my move to Yeppoon, is my regular group of friends who I do this stuff with. While I'm still in touch with them, I simply miss having someone I can say "pack your bags and let's go" to.

Just today I've had the offer of going to a walk to a place called "Carnarvon Gorge". Now this is supposed to be a pretty awesome place, and I really want to go, but it looks like work may be conspiring against me! The weekend the hike is planned for seems to be the same time as we have a guy coming over from Europe to work for us, which means the chance of me getting time off to go are between zero and fuck-all! I guess I'll just have to wait until I can speak to the boss about it...
